Project Manager
Remote
Jobs requirements
Nekki is a game development studio with over 20 years of experience, and our PC/Console division is focusing on quality animation-based games for PC and consoles.
Currently, we are seeking a Project Manager to work on a new console action project, SPINE
SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.
Responsibilities:
- Owning complex project areas and turning high-level goals or problem statements into actionable delivery plans.
- Managing cross-functional teams and coordinating technical and content development, translating constraints into clear actions while managing dependencies, risks, capacity, priorities, scope, and delivery.
- Coordinating external builds, playtests, porting, certification, and work with outsourcing partners, ensuring milestones, quality, and statuses remain transparent.
- Establishing and improving project processes, helping teams become more autonomous while ensuring risks and blockers are surfaced early.
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Producer in PC or console game development, with hands-on ownership of day-to-day team delivery and task flow.
- Strong ownership, planning, prioritization, risk management, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to independently structure ambiguous problem areas, maintain a healthy task flow, and drive them toward resolution.
- High-level understanding of game development topics such as optimization, performance and memory constraints, build pipelines, integration, and platform limitations.
- Experience with outsourcing, console porting, certification, or console release processes is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Unreal Engine workflows is highly desirable.
We offer:
- A great team with a friendly, informal work environment where we share interests, play video games together, and organize internal events (game jams, tournaments, and meetups)
- Opportunities for professional development, including participation in specialized conferences and educational events
- Work remotely from anywhere. Working hours: 10 AM – 7 PM (GMT+3, including a 1-hour break), with the option to adjust
- Support for personal growth: English courses, psychologist sessions and various educational programs
- Internal coins you can collect and exchange for unique merch in our store
