Jobs requirements

Currently, we are seeking a Narrative Designer to work on a new console action project, SPINE.

SPINE is built with Unreal Engine 5 and is centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.

This project represents a new and ambitious challenge for the company, as it is our first game designed for both PC and consoles

Responsibilities:

  • Develop level events and find references;
  • Work with documentation. Prepare specifications and documentation for content teams (animators, character and environment artists, audio teams);
  • Create and describe narrative-filled environmental elements: posters, signs, inscriptions, statues, etc.;
  • Work closely with the story and lore. Interpret the story and lore in locations through various tools: from character behavior during missions to atmosphere creation. Possible lore adjustments;
  • Collaborate closely with the content team for consultations and narrative development on locations;
  • Work with text on locations: from environmental inscriptions to mission objective texts and general dialogue suggestions for characters in specific locations (detailed dialogue development is handled by another specialist).

What we are looking for:

  • Experience as a Narrative Designer more than 2 years on PC and console projects;
  • Understanding of staging, cinematic techniques, and scriptwriting;
  • Proficiency in working with text;
  • Ability to switch easily between tasks;
  • Deep understanding of game production processes;
  • Ability to interpret player emotions into specific level design decisions;
  • Capability to quickly and appropriately find references and solutions.

Would be a plus:

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine.
