Nekki is a game development studio, the creator of Shadow Fight Arena, Shadow Fight 3, Shadow Fight 2 and Vector. The total number of registered users for our games exceeds 1,5 billion worldwide. We develop and release games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.
We are currently looking for a Sound Designer to join the team of our upcoming single-player third-person action game – SPINE.
SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.
Responsibilities:
- Record, edit, and create/design high-quality sound effects, including weapons, impacts, ambience, UI elements, cutscenes, and animation sounds
- Implement sound effects into the game (Unreal Engine 5 / Wwise)
- Test and optimize audio systems to ensure that all sound elements work properly
- Collaborate with the audio team to plan and implement project goals
- Interact with programmers to develop audio systems
- Interact with other departments (game designers, animators, artists, VFX, and others) to achieve the highest quality audio in the project
- Keep documentation up to date
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of commercial experience in video game audio development
- Portfolio (reel) with examples of work demonstrating your skills and experience
- Proficient use of any DAW
- Hands-on experience with recording equipment, microphones, and stands
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 (Blueprints) and Wwise
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and high standards of quality
- Ability to work under strict deadlines
- Passion for video games and audio
Will be a plus:
- Experience in AAA projects
- C++ knowledge for advanced integration
