Nekki is a game development studio, the creator of Shadow Fight Arena, Shadow Fight 3, Shadow Fight 2 and Vector. The total number of registered users for our games exceeds 1,5 billion worldwide. We develop and release games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.

 

We are currently looking for a Senior Core Game Designer to design bots (common enemies) and bosses within our upcoming single-player third-person action game – SPINE.

 

SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex features, collaborate with other teams, and own key features (from specific opponent mechanics to entire bosses)
  • Write feature documents, coordinate with other teams, and assign tasks to other teams - animators, VFX, programmers, etc
  • Finetune game mechanics (animation frame data, timings, abilities, damage, indicators, etc.)
  • Develop bosses' AI behavior and prototype mechanics in UE5
  • Generate ideas to improve overall game systems - combat system, AI, movement mechanics

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience as core gameplay game designer
  • Strong knowledge of UE, experience with UE Blueprints, and familiarity with the Gameplay Ability System (GAS)
  • Fluent communication in Russian is required

Will be a plus:

  • Technical background (e.g., technical education, experience as a programmer or technical game designer)
  • Released projects for PC and consoles
  • Participation in the full development cycle of a project
  • Experience working in large teams
  • Current gaming experience in action genre games
