Nekki is a game development studio, the creator of Shadow Fight Arena, Shadow Fight 3, Shadow Fight 211×11, and Vector. The total number of registered users for our games exceeds 1 billion worldwide. We develop and release games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.

 

We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join our SPINE team.

 

SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.

 

This project represents a new ambitious challenge for the company as it marks our first game for both PC and consoles.

Responsibilities:

  • Testing all game functionality: gameplay systems, physics, materials, AI, and levels
  • Participation in continuous Smoke and Regression testing
  • Participation in preparing test reports and summaries
  • Creating and maintaining checklists and test cases
  • Collecting performance data using Unreal Insights
  • Writing and maintaining testing documentation
  • Ongoing communication with development teams, including game and level designers, etc.
  • Participation in Exploratory testing
  • Active involvement in improving testing processes

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience in testing games developed with Unreal Engine
  • Understanding of game development and testing fundamentals in Unreal Engine
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine testing tools, including Unreal Editor, logging, and debugging tools
  • Experience testing core functionality such as gameplay systems and physics
  • High level of independence, decision-making ability, and self-organization
  • Ability to quickly switch between tasks and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in writing and executing test cases and test plans for various game systems and features
  • Experience working with bug tracking systems such as Jira
  • Strong skills in analyzing and documenting bugs using detailed descriptions, screenshots, and video recordings
  • Understanding of basic performance testing and optimization principles for game systems
  • Knowledge of key testing methodologies, including functional testing, regression testing, and user testing
  • Experience working in a team environment with effective communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and testing approaches within the Unreal Engine ecosystem
