Nekki is a game development studio with over 20 years of experience. We create games for mobile, PC, and consoles, focusing on product quality and player experience.
The Shadow Fight series and Vector have been downloaded over 1 billion times, and we continue to grow and support these franchises. At the same time, we’re building new titles: SPINE and Fight Me.
We are currently looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join the team of our upcoming PC/console project SPINE.
SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor QA testers, assigning tasks and monitoring progress
- Build testing schedules aligned with development milestones
- Writing and maintaining testing documentation
- Ongoing communication with development teams, including game and level designers, etc.
- Active involvement in improving testing processes
- Assess risks of unresolved issues and communicate them to stakeholders
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in team lead position
- At least one shipped project made made on Unreal Engine in team lead position
- Understanding of game development and testing fundamentals in Unreal Engine
- Experience working with Unreal Engine testing tools, including Unreal Editor, logging, and debugging tools
- Ability to quickly switch between tasks and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in writing and executing test cases and test plans for various game systems and features
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of key testing methodologies, including functional testing, regression testing, and user testing
- Willingness to learn new technologies and testing approaches within the Unreal Engine ecosystem
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
